Michael Linder has represented Kane County Board District 13 since December 2022. District 13 is comprised of more than 22,000 residents and almost 14,000 registered voters in most of the westside of Saint Charles, some western precincts in Geneva and a very small number of voters in Campton Hills.  A map of the district appears elsewhere on this site. His current term expires at the end of December 2026. That sounds like a long time from now, but potential candidates for the County offices, like Sheriff, County Clerk and Treasurer are already announcing their intentions, and the interest in the election to County Board Member is likely to draw substantial interest.  So Michael has announced his intention to run for another term in 2026

Candidates will begin circulating petitions for placement on the March 17, 2026 Primary Election ballot, starting August 5, 2025. Michael welcomes volunteers to help circulate petitions which will be due this fall.  If another Democrat files to compete with Michael for District 13, campaign activity will ramp up.  Emerging from Primary Day with the Democratic nomination, campaign action will accelerate quickly, knocking on doors, making phone calls, neighborhood coffees, newspaper interviews,  public forums and, yes, fund raising.  Even at the County Board level, campaigns are expensive.  Yard signs, advertising, door hangers and social messaging all cost money. Non-deductible contributions may be made by sending a check. payable to “Friends of Michael Linder,”  to Post Office Box 21, Saint Charles IL 60174.

If you would like to take a leadership role in Michael’s campaign you may send a contact form on this site, or reach out to Michael directly.  A volunteer coordinator, or even a couple of friends who would share that job are especially desirable,
