You Elected Michael Linder on November 8
Thanks to Bill Foster for Congress for support and contribution!
Thanks to my sisters and brothers of West Suburban Teachers Union Local 571 for your support and contribution!
Michael’s first labor endorsement came from AFSCME Council 31. Many thanks!
Thank you 4000+ Voters and Many Friends and Supporters!
The election for Kane County Board Member for the 13th District was very close. After all the early votes, Election Day votes and all the mail ballots received up until Election Day were counted, I led the incumbent by only 34 votes. However, mail ballots that were sent to voters who requested them but were not yet received on Election Day added to the total, and my margin of victory, still narrow, increased to 123 votes. While my opponent did not concede, the Kane County Clerk declared me the winner of the election.
Again, thank you to those who voted for me, contributed to my campaign expenses, made calls or knocked on doors or displayed a yard sign!
New and Returning Board Members Sworn in December 5
Kane County Board Madam Chair Corinne Pierog congratulates all 24 members of the Kane County Board who were sworn in December 5. Among those elected with me were Leslie Juby of Geneva (far left) and Bill Tarver of Batavia (left of the American Flag.)
Michael has lived in Kane County all of his life, being raised and educated in St. Charles. He has a varied background in business, teaching and organized labor. Michael is now a retired teacher and union activist and has the time and energy to devote to the responsibility of a Kane County Board Member, and will be proud to represent the 13th District.
Kane County is a great place to live, work, raise a family, and enjoy the open space opportunities afforded by the Kane County Forest Preserve, the community park districts and cities. The Fox River is an asset that many suburban communities can only wish they had as a focal point of outdoor recreation and beauty.
