No Kings Rallies Saturday June 14 in Geneva and Elgin and All over the United States! post thumbnail image

Donald Trump wants to be seen as a King and that goes 100% against our Constitution and against the intentions of our founders.  His actions that are un-American are many.  Just as we counted his lies in his first term of office, we will have to count his illegal actions in this term.  So far the courts have been supportive of laws and the Constitution for the most part, but that support has not been complete.  Americans all across the country have demonstrated our displeeasure for Trump and Elon Musk.  Now that Musk is gone, it is still not over by any means. Much like the “Hands Off” demonstration rallies last month, the No Kings Demonstration Rally is a peaceful gathering of Americans anxious for an end to the Trump administration’s unconstitutional assault on the American public and our Constitution.

So in Geneva we will gather long Randall Road near the intersection of Gleneagle Drive from 11:00 AM  until 1:00 PM.  Bring your signs, flags (Saturday is Flag Day )  Please be peaceful, stay out of the roadway and obey police and the organizers who are keeping us all orderly and save. I hope to attend the Geneva event

The closest other No Kings Demonstration is in Elgin near Gail Borden Library.  It is near the Kimball Street Bridge over the Fox River at 200 Grove Avenue, Elgin.  The hours are from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM.  It might be possible to attend Geneva and then drive (carefully!) to Elgin for a couple more hours of demonstration.

  1. There were thousands of No Kings protesters lining Randall Road in Geneva this afternoon. It was a peaceful, cordial crowd, with many creative signs. props and costumes, as well as American Flags. Today is also Flag Day in the U.S. Most passing motorists honk horns, waved or gave thumbs up and many also had Americn Flags. There were a few vehicles with an opposite message, but very few, though many did pass by with no reaction. Compliments to the organizers. We Can Lead Change and the other cooperating organizations really do a great job in getting out the crowds, arranging with the cities and their police forces, having enough volunteers to make the crowd feel safe and know where they can and cannot stand.
